(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 07, 2008 ) Newport Beach, CA -- At a time when record numbers of businesses are closing their doors, Lents & Foley, LLP is proud to celebrate 10 years in practice. Lents & Foley, LLP is a woman owned employment law firm representing employees in litigation, as well as providing personalized advisory services and seminars to business and non-profit clients.
Business partners Michelle M. Lents & Katrina Anne Foley began their practice 10 years ago and with no clients while sharing a small office, desk, and computer in an executive suite. Katrina had just had a baby and was wanting a more flexible family friendly working environment so she could spend more time at home. 10 years later with the addition of more attorneys and staff, Katrina and Michelle have a thriving practice serving Orange County. "Michelle and I are both fiscally conservative. Our fiscal management practice has always been to pay with cash and avoid debt. This practice allows us to grow slow and steady," explained Katrina Foley when asked how they managed to stay afloat during these difficult economic times.
The Lents & Foley, LLP team include two Vanguard University student interns. "We have a great team of employees who are smart, efficient, and fun to be around. We could not do it without them," said Michelle.
The firm recently celebrated a decade of success with a Champaign & Chocolate tasting in the courtyard of their Newport Beach offices. Opera singer Amy Dinkins wowed the guests with a beautiful Spanish aria. Given Katrina's role as a Costa Mesa City Council Member, the firm hired local restaurants and caterers for the event. Hi Time Cellars & Chocolatiers (www.hitimewine.net) provided champagne, chocolate, and a speaker for the tastings of 5 California & Woman owned champagnes. Plums Cafe (www.plumscafe.com) catered tasty deserts, and Martin Diedrich of Kean Coffee (www.keancoffee.com) hosted the delicious coffees.
Lents & Foley, LLP looks forward to serving Orange County for another decade.
