(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 08, 2012 ) Dothan, AL -- The Gateway Rescue Mission, of Jackson, Mississippi has celebrated over 60 years of service “as a beacon of hope to the least of these.” This organization offers many different assistance programs for those in need, which include:
An overnight shelter for men, which can house 50 men at a time
A feeding program that offers three meals a day for anyone in need
New Life Program, which includes the organizations New Life Center, located in Magee, MS. with room for 30 men
Thrift stores in both Pearl and Magee
Immediate future plans, to develop a women’s and children’s program to meet the needs of the growing number of homeless women and children in the area.

Long term rehab for the addicted
Gateway Rescue Mission’s hours are from Monday-Friday: 8:30 am-5:00 pm. The shelter hours are from 5:00 pm-5:00 am.
Meal schedule: Breakfast-5:00 am, Lunch is served at noon and dinner is served at 5:00 pm.
