BP Settlement Reached in Oil Spill Litigation

(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 09, 2012 ) New York, NY – A BP settlement has been reached between the oil company and the attorneys who represented individuals and businesses which were damaged as a result of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. The settlement is expected to resolve the majority of private economic loss, medical injury and property damage claims related to the oil spill. If you have suffered damages related to the oil spill, you may still be able to make a claim for compensation. To find out if you are eligible, visit http://www.classaction.org/bp-oil-spill-settlement--1-55665.html to receive a free case review.

The BP oil spill settlement will be fully funded by the oil company, with no limit on the amount it will pay. Two separate settlement agreements have been made, with the first settlement compensating private economic losses suffered by businesses and individuals affected by the oil spill. These claims cover lost profits; damage to wetlands, coastal property and personal property; real property sales losses; lost subsistence use; and failure to pay under BPÂ’s Vessels of Opportunity Program. Medical injury claims will be covered by the second BP oil spill settlement, which will establish a periodic medical consultation program for 21 years. Under this settlement, Gulf Coast residents and clean-up workers who developed health problems in relation to the oil spill can seek compensation for a broad range of medical conditions.

With the news of the BP settlement, Class Action.org is extending a free consultation to Gulf residents and business owners who were affected by the oil spill. These individuals may still be able to make a claim for compensation. For more information on the BP oil spill settlement and your eligibility for compensation, visit ClassAction.org today.
