Yaz Lawyers Available to Review Blood Clot Claims

(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 28, 2012 ) New York, NY – The Yaz lawyers working with ClassAction.org are available to review claims from women who took Yaz, Yasmin or Ocella and suffered a blood clot. A recent study revealed that women taking birth control pills containing drospirenone, such as Yaz and Yasmin, are more likely to develop venous thromboembolisms (VTEs) when compared to those using older versions of the pill. If the manufacturer of these drugs failed to properly warn the public of this risk, legal recourse may be available to women who claim they developed blood clots while taking these oral contraceptives. To learn more about Yaz lawsuits for blood clots, visit http://www.classaction.org/yaz-yasmin.html for a free, no risk case review.

The most recent study adds to evidence that newer birth control pills may put women at a higher risk for blood clots than older, second and third generation oral contraceptives. The study of 330,000 Israeli women found that there were approximately six venous blood clots per 10,000 women; however, the risk was 43% to 65% higher with birth control pills containing the hormone drospirenone compared to older versions of the pill. The risk of blood clots from birth control pills is not new, but recent research has suggested that this risk may be slightly higher with these newer, fourth-generation birth control pills, such as Yaz and Yasmin.

VTE blood clots typically form in the leg veins, but can also travel to the lungs and cause a pulmonary embolism (PE). If you or a loved one developed a Yaz blood clot while taking the birth control pill, the Yaz lawyers working with ClassAction.org would like to hear from you. Potentially, women who claim they developed Yaz blood clots may be able to seek compensation for medical bills and other damages related to their injuries. For more information and a free evaluation of your claim, visit ClassAction.org today. The Yaz lawyers working with the site are providing this online consultation at no cost and with no obligation.
