The film was released in the big screen last August 5, 2011 in North America under Universal Pictures Studios. The story is similar to a few other movies made in the past, but it sets itself apart by good chemistry between the cast and the kind of humor it features.
The Change-Up movie tells the story of best friends Mitch Planko (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave Lockwood (Jason Bateman). Mitch is single and a happy-go-lucky guy, while Dave is a hard-working, married man with three children. To Mitch, DaveÂ’s life is perfect with his beautiful wife and successful career. To Dave, MitchÂ’s hassle-free life is a dream come true. One morning, they wake up and find out that they are in each otherÂ’s body. This was after a drunken night out. Now they must pretend to be each other and at the same time avoid destroying each otherÂ’s lives. The two men also learned that the otherÂ’s life is not as perfect as they thought it was.
The Change-Up stars Ryan Reynolds, Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde, and Leslie Mann. It was shot in Georgia, and many bar scenes were taken at “Joe’s on Juniper” bar in Midtown Atlanta.
