New Overtime Law Website Launched for Workers with Unpaid Overtime Claims

(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 10, 2010 ) IQ Overtime is pleased to announce the launch of a new website created for workers who have been denied the overtime pay they deserve. If your employer has failed to pay you time and half for the overtime hours you worked, you may be entitled to file an overtime lawsuit and recover back pay and additional damages. At IQ Overtime, we are dedicated to helping workers understand their overtime rights and legal options.

IQOvertime.com provides comprehensive legal resources for individuals who are interested in learning more about overtime law. Articles covering the the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), overtime lawsuits, calculating overtime pay, and the difference between exempt and non-exempt employees are available on the site for workers to review. A section devoted to frequently asked questions about overtime pay is also featured on the site.

An article entitled "Overtime Scams" outlines some of the ways that employers may attempt to avoid giving workers the overtime pay to which they are entitled. Employee misclassification is one type of overtime scam in which the employer misclassifies the employee into an exempt category, despite the fact that the employeeÂ’s job duties make him or her eligible for overtime pay. Other common violations of overtime law include forcing employees to work off the clock, offering comp time instead of overtime pay, and short changing hours.

An overview of the overtime laws in each state is also available on IQOvertime.com. Select your state from the list to learn more about the specific regulations governing things such as minimum wage, record keeping requirements, wage payment requirements, breaks and meal periods, and overtime hours. A list of frequently asked questions on each stateÂ’s law is also included.

If you believe you have been wrongfully denied overtime pay, visit http://www.iqovertime.com/ today and complete the Free Overtime Case Review form. Your potential claim will be evaluated in order to determine if your rights have been violated. Victims of overtime pay scams may be able to recover double their unpaid wages, as well as other damages, through an overtime lawsuit. DonÂ’t allow your employer to take advantage of you; contact an overtime lawyer now.
