(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 13, 2009 ) Louisville, KY - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District will host an industry forum Aug. 13, 2009, to present information to construction contractors and subcontractors for 11 Armed Forces Reserve Centers in the states of Texas and Arkansas.
Industry forums can help businesses learn processes to work with the government. Large and small business owners can learn ways to frame their bids and estimate costs.
“In addition to benefits the Industry Forum provides to businesses, the forum also benefits the Corps and the government,” said Louisville District Commander Col. Keith Landry. “It is in the best interest of the government to maximize competition. With a competitive pool of bidders, the government can get the best quality of work at the best value.”
The industry forum will be held at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel, 101 Bowie Street, San Antonio, Texas. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. CDT with the forum running from 10 a.m. to noon.
