New Hampshire's New street Drug Has Deadly Results

(USGovernment-News.Com, July 16, 2016 ) Portsmouth, NH -- A drug called W-18 has resurfaced since its development in the 1980s. It has been said that this cocktail is a 100 times more dangerous than fentanyl, the drug that has been killing large amounts of people in recent news. Timothy Pifer, a New Hampshire State Police said: "It is a research grade chemical, so there have been no clinical studies of human interactions with this particular drug, which is part of the problem we're dealing with as public health and public safety concerns. Currently, the research says they're not even aware if Narcan or naloxone would have any effect on this particular drug."

W-18 looks similar to fentanyl, it could be mistaken for heroin in the powder form to an untrained eye. This drug is not been controlled by the government as of yet because there is no test that shows its prevalence.

A representative from Drug and Alcohol Rehab New Hampshire says: " law enforcement's need to gain control of who is selling heroin so its look alike will not be traveling the streets endangering people's lives. The more W-18 gets spread around to communities, the more lives it will consume and it will do so very quickly."
