(USGovernment-News.Com, December 18, 2015 ) Manchester, NH -- Governor Maggie Hassan among others recently attended a panel aimed toward finding legislative solutions to the growing addiction and overdose problem in New Hampshire. The Boston Globe reports that Hassan noted overdose as the second highest cause of death in New Hampshire at the panel held in late November.
A specialized tasks force of law makers have been handed the tasks of examining the current state of substance abuse prevention tactics and creating new legislation to combat the increasing trend of overdose deaths. Attendees of the panel urged lawmakers to consider more than just acting against the illicit substances, as this leaves people living with substance abuse disorders without aid.
