WHAT: The Oregon House Committee on Energy and Environment will hold a hearing on HB 2092, which would establish rebates for purchasers of alternative fuel vehicles. Dr. Robert F. Wescott, President of Keybridge Research, will testify on the findings of a new study examining the potential economic effects that would result if HB 2092 were enacted.

HB 2092 seeks to establish a Zero-Emission Incentive Fund for the purpose of making rebates to purchasers of alternative fuel vehicles. The legislation would create a tax credit for contributors to the Fund, and proceeds would be collected through an auction of tax credits.
Dr. Wescott has more than 30 years of professional experience on macroeconomic, financial, and public policy issues. Prior to founding Keybridge, Wescott served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy at the National Economic Council at the White House, as Chief Economist at the President’s Council of Economic Advisers, and as Deputy Division Chief in the Research Department of the IMF.
