Kingsley Locksmith Discusses Firearm Handling, Asks Community to Improve Institutional Security

(USGovernment-News.Com, March 27, 2015 ) Ann Arbor, MI – Kingsley Locksmith, a locksmith in Ann Arbor, commends a gun-reporting teacher who discovered an armed man attending a choir concert in Pioneer High School.

22-year-old Josh, whose last name was not revealed, came to watch his younger sister perform. He was sitting with his wife and other kin when the arrest happened. WXYZ Detroit covered this incident at http://www.wxyz.com/news/ann-arbor-teacher-calls-police-after-seeing-man-armed-with-gun-at-school-concert.

The man declared that he has a valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL), and that his motive for bringing a firearm is to ensure his family members are safe, even at schools. He shares that there are people who aims to do harm to unknowing targets, triggering areas which he regards as "mass murder enablement zone".

While licenses such as CPL are valid, carrying firearms within family-friendly venues such as schools, can cause a stigma in the community. Questions are now raised whether the Ann Arbor community is doing something to ensure the safety of its residents, especially the children.

"Securing the institution's premises is the first step in everyone's safety," shares a Kingsley Locksmith spokesperson. “Other than employing watchful human resources, it is also advisable to add protective equipments, such as security devices in the area. A surveillance camera and alarm can already make a difference.”

A basic foundation of property security is a set of good, working locks. The locksmith in Ann Arbor also adds that property owners must not be negligent of shady areas which can be used as a tresspasser’s entry point.

Other than children's safety, another demographic whose protection must be looked into, is the senior community. Representing one of the fastest growing populations, the elderly are also commonly targeted for crime, reveals the Daily Press: http://www.dailypress.com/features/home-garden/dp-fea-hg-tips-0212-20150203-story.html.

“Everyone’s safety is a priority,” says Kinglsey. "We want Ann Arbor to be a place where residents would not need to bring a gun to make sure that his family members are safe."
