(USGovernment-News.Com, March 12, 2015 ) Las Vegas, NV -- This week on The Ed Bernstein Show, not just one, but several special guests will be appearing (and maybe, disappearing)!
Pat Skorkowsky, the Superintendent of Clark County School District will be discussing the upcoming “Nevada Reading Week”, among other topics. Joining him will be the winner of Ed Bernstein’s annual Holiday Art Contest, and all of his or her classmates from Robert Lunt Elementary School.
When Ed is not working on the show, he runs a personal injury law firm in Las Vegas. The firm has a community sponsorship with Robert Lunt Elementary School, and each year, all of the classes create artwork that depicts what the holidays mean to them. Winners from each grade are picked, and then one overall winner is chosen. His or her artwork is then featured on the law firm’s company holiday card. In addition, the winner, along with their whole class, is invited to Channel 3 Studios for a live taping of The Ed Bernstein Show. The individual winners from each grade are also invited to come along.
The firm arranges transportation, and all of the children get to go on a behind-the-scenes tour of Channel 3 Studios. The highlight of the tour is when the children experience the “green screen”, where they hold up a piece of green fabric and watch parts of their bodies “disappear” on the monitors.
The piece of winning artwork will be framed and presented to the artist by Superintendent Skorkowsky.
Apart from all of this, Ed will discuss the collection of new and used books that the employees of his firm have donated to the school. Some employees also volunteered their time and read to different classrooms.
Another exciting guest in this episode will be the award-winning magician Murray SawChuck (also known as “Murray the Magician”). He is a regular on the History Channel’s reality show “Pawn Stars” and has made television appearances on various other shows, which helped him gain the nickname "The Celebrity Magician." His magic has been appreciated around the world, and he has received over 24 awards for his performances, including the title of World Champion!
