Atlanta Police Vehicle Slammed By Hit and Run

(USGovernment-News.Com, January 05, 2015 ) Atlanta, GA -- In Atlanta, a hit and run driver is still being searched for after cutting off a police cruiser and causing a serious accident.

The officer’s name has not been released, but it has been reported that he was on his way to respond to a call for help. A car quickly moved in front of the officer’s vehicle, which caused him to swerve in order to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, the officer ended up hitting another car instead.

The policeman, along with the driver of the vehicle he hit, were both taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The cop suffered neck and back injuries, but was able to survive. The other driver is also currently in stable condition.

The driver that caused the accident did not stop, and has yet to be found, but investigators are working on the case. It is unknown if the injured officer has hired an Atlanta personal injury attorney.

Statistics have shown that claims of hit and run accidents are on the rise. Victims of these accidents should know that hope is not lost. A skilled Atlanta car accident lawyer can still attempt to handle their claims. Contact the law office of Atlanta personal injury lawyer John Foy.
