Falcons Player Arrested for DUI - Again

(USGovernment-News.Com, December 08, 2014 ) Atlanta, GA -- An off-duty police officer for Brookhaven noticed a Cadillac Escalade was stopped between lanes in the middle of Interstate 85 around six in the evening. The man behind the wheel was passed out, and was later found to be Jamal Anderson, a former Atlanta Falcons star.

The officer asked Anderson to move his vehicle to the side of the road where it would be out of danger.

The athlete reportedly had bloodshot eyes, spoke incoherently, walked unsteadily, and reeked of alcohol while he was being questioned by the officer. “He stated that he wasn’t trying to hurt himself and didn’t really have a good explanation as to why he had parked in the middle of the interstate,” said the policeman.

Although Anderson originally claimed he was only drinking the night before, and even later confessed to having three beers, he refused to take a sobriety test. He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as improperly stopping in the roadway. This was not his DUI first arrest. In fact, through the past few years, it seems this particular athlete has been making headlines more often for his activity off the field than on it.

Should his fame and bank account make his offenses excusable? Of course not. With about 200,000 DUI arrests being made each year in Georgia, one Atlanta car accident lawyer, John Foy, has decided to stand of up for the other side of drunk driving – the victims. His phone lines will remain open 24-hours a day for injured victims of drunk driving accidents to consult with a representative. His office can be reached by dialing (404) 879-7518 or by chatting online at www.johnfoy.com/car-accident-lawyer/ .
