Attorney Bill Green and New Checkpoints Say "Boo" to Booze

(USGovernment-News.Com, October 28, 2014 ) Charleston, NC -- The police team in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina are putting forth a heavier effort to prevent drunk drivers from staying on the road this Halloween. Checkpoints will be set up by law enforcements on Friday evening along Highway17, Long Point Road and Coleman Blvd. “A costume can’t disguise drunk driving,” proclaims Sergeant Kim Herring.

They’ve dubbed the project “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over!” and are hoping to see a better outcome than the last time Halloween fell on a Friday – which resulted in 38% of the nation’s traffic fatalities that night having involved drivers with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher. A tremendous jump in drinking violations is seen when Halloween is on Friday rather than other days of the week. In fact, they tend to pile up 2.5 times more!

Coincidentally, Halloween is already known as the most dangerous night for pedestrians. This, in combination with the strong possibility of more drunk drivers, means more caution than usual should be taken to prevent parents and children alike from being seriously injured.

Attorney Bill Green of The Green Law Firm in South Carolina has agreed to provide free consultations for any victim of a car wreck or pedestrian accident that takes place in this state. His office locations are in Columbia and North Charleston. The firm can be reached at (888)795-1018 or chat online, also for free, at http://www.bill-green.com/.
