Greg Monforton & Partners Presents CanadaÂ’s Most Dangerous Highways

(USGovernment-News.Com, October 24, 2013 ) WINDSOR, ONT. – Across the state of Canada, someone is killed in an auto accident every four hours, according to Transport Canada, while most deaths occur on roads with a speed limit over 60km/hr.

Canada has many different weather patterns, climates, and highly populated areas which pose extreme dangers to drivers throughout our beautiful country. Of course, there are some roads that are more dangerous than others throughout our country. The Windsor car accident lawyers at Greg Monforton & Partners have gathered a list of some of the most dangerous highways in Canada.

Some of Canada’s most dangerous highways include:

Highway 60 in Alberta – The Canadian Press has stated that this highway has claimed over 50 lives over its 240-km stretch between Edmonton and Alberta since 2006. In 2008, CBC reported over 1,000 crashes between 2001 and 2005, which makes this one of the most dangerous roads in Canada.

Highway 401 from Windsor to London – This road runs through an agricultural landscape and is famous for several crashes each and every year. On Labor Day weekend of 1999, this stretch featured the larges pileup in the counties history with 87 vehicles, leaving eight dead and 45 injured.

Highway 401 from Pickering to Oshawa – Reports indicated that between Whites Road in Pickering and Courtice Road east of Oshawa, it has the highest number of traffic accidents in the entire province.

Autoroute 40 in Quebec – This road has long been known for its adverse road conditions and was once closed as part of the road collapsed into a hole. This road has also taken the lives of many and injured even more.

Highway 103 in Nova Scotia – This is known as Nova Scotia’s most deadly highway and runs along the south shore between Holifax and Yarmouth.

Our Windsor personal injury lawyers have represented dozens of injured victims and their families, some of which have been involved in accidents on these highways. We offer free case reviews to people in need of legal advice and welcome you to call us at 1-800-663-1145 or visit www.gregmonforton.com today.
