(USGovernment-News.Com, October 18, 2013 ) PHOENIX, ARIZ. – On Wednesday in downtown Phoenix a woman driving her SUV collided with a light rail train at Central Avenue and Roosevelt.
Police reports indicate that the woman driving the SUV ran a red light and traveled into the path of the train, where the train would impact the side of the vehicle.
Following the accident both the driver and the pregnant passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Two of the passengers from the train also suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Passengers traveling on the train reported they had to pry the train’s doors open in order to escape.
