(USGovernment-News.Com, September 11, 2013 ) SACRAMENTO, CA – The Arnold Law Firm of Sacramento would like to remind residents of Contra Costa County to take care and follow all evacuation instructions in light of the huge fire that began Sunday night.
In Contra Costa County the Morgan Fire is still growing and spreading around Mt. Diablo, and residents are nervous that their homes may be in harm’s way. There are close to 100 houses that surround the area affected by the blaze, which has now grown to nearly 4,000 acres.
Evacuations began Monday evening in Clayton, which included Trail Ride Road, Russelmann Park Road, East Trail Road and Upper and Lower Trail Roads. Horses and livestock in the area have not yet been evacuated, though horse owner Emily Sisson is hoping that will happen soon.
Cal Fire Division Chief David Shew noted, “It’s probably going to be a good couple of days before we can get our arms wrapped around this,” in regard to the size and intensity of the fire. There is no a mandatory evacuation on Morgan Territory Road, though not everyone is leaving. The cause of the massive fire is still under investigation.
