(USGovernment-News.Com, September 07, 2013 ) LINCOLN, NE -- The state of Nebraska’s Child Death Review Team has recently released its report on childhood deaths which occurred in 2009. This report indicated that 237 children died throughout the entire state by various causes.
The top five causes for deaths from newborn children to age 17 in 2009 include:
Furthermore, the team has determined that 32.5 percent of the total 237 deaths could have been prevented. These types of preventable deaths mostly include auto accidents and unintentional injuries, of course suicide, child abuse and medical conditions were also calculated into this number.
