(USGovernment-News.Com, August 29, 2013 ) CINCINNATI, OH — A multi-vehicle collision in Louisville, KY claimed the life of 30-year-old Erin Miller Tuesday, August 27 when she was T-boned by a dump truck on LaGrange Road near the Gene Snyder Freeway, and pronounced dead upon arrival at the University of Louisville Hospital.
The accident took place as Miller proceeded through the intersection of Snyder and LaGrange on a green light, absorbing the impact of a left-turning dump truck as it blew a red light on LaGrange in an attempt to avoid stopping. The dump truck operator was injured but not critically, and when Miller’s vehicle skidded across the road it collided with two other vehicles. One of those drivers was sent to the hospital.
Negligent truck drivers can cause very serious injury or death to those who share the roadway with them, and reckless behavior can take many forms. At the time of the report there were no details as to the exact cause of the dump truck operator’s decision not to stop, but it was certainly the cause of the accident and Miller’s death.
