(USGovernment-News.Com, August 20, 2013 ) Tulsa, Ok – A Tulsa man has been arrested for second-degree manslaughter after his passenger was pronounced dead on the scene of a head-on collision. At about 2:15a.m it is believed that Edwver Naun Ramos crossed his silver Ford Mustang onto oncoming traffic Memorial Drive near 23rd Street. The vehicle hit a Nissan Versa headed northbound. Ramos’s vehicle was primarily hit on the passenger side.
Ramos was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. The three persons in the Nissan Versa were also injured in the crash; two persons were critically injured while another suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police officers found open containers of beer in the front and backseat of Ramos’s car and according to a witness Ramos fell asleep behind the wheel right after the fatal crash happened. Police are continuing to investigate and will be speaking to Ramos as soon as possible.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety there were more than 4,200 alcohol-related accidents throughout the state in 2012. More than 200 of these accidents were fatal and 401 others resulted in incapacitating injuries.
