(USGovernment-News.Com, August 02, 2013 ) SACRAMENTO, CA – The Arnold Law Firm of Sacramento offers their deepest condolences to the family of 13-year-old Natalie Giorgi, who died after consuming a rice snack cake with a peanut spread topping.
Giorgi and her family had one final stop on their way home from a family trip to Camp Sacramento when the young girl tasted the snack cake and knew instantly that something was wrong. She began vomiting and, although her father administered a dose of epinephrine as he was supposed to, died of anaphylactic shock and cardiac arrest only 20 minutes later.
Families in the suburb of Carmichael where the Giorgis live are mourning the loss of the young girl, and expressing sympathy toward the situation— Natalie reported to her parents that she was feeling ill, an EpiPen was used, but the efforts of the family may have come just minutes too late to save her.
Kyle Finley, a father from Carmichael, remarked on the pain that the whole suburb feels for the Giorgi family. “That hit us hard. Man, they were completely prepared for it,” he said. “They knew what had happened and that it still ended in a death. It hit us hard.”
