(USGovernment-News.Com, July 20, 2013 ) PHOENIX, A.Z. In the wake of the Asiana Airlines crash in San Francisco on July 6, the San Mateo County coroner confirmed that the Chinese middle school student who died after the crash sustained blunt force injuries consistent with being stuck and run over by a large vehicle.
According to a report from Arizona news station ABC15, Ye Meng Yuan, the 16-year-old passenger aboard the Asiana Boeing 777, was likely hit and killed by one of the vehicles rushing toward to plane to extinguish the flames and with such poor visibility in the volatile and dangerous aftermath, Yuan was simply not seen by the driver.
"It was a difficult conversation," San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White said of the apology and explanation that was given to Yuans family. Investigators still are not sure of how Yuan was hit but they say it was likely she was thrown from the plane and remained on the ground.
Wrongful death from an auto accident is a tragedy, and the family of Ye Meng Yuan will certainly be dealing with the death of the young girl forever. When a driver is being careless or behaving in a negligent manner, serious injury or death is an unfortunate consequence of their recklessness.
If you or a loved one has experienced any of the following injuries from a Phoenix auto accident, you should seek legal counsel:
