(USGovernment-News.Com, June 07, 2013 ) Belfast, Northern Ireland -- Some of the world’s leading experts on international politics and governance will gather at Queen’s University Belfast on Friday 14 June 2013 for a major academic conference in advance of the G8 Summit.
The pre-summit conference will address the key issues of trade, transparency, tax and security, which will feature heavily on the agenda for the G8 Summit at Lough Erne in County Fermanagh. It will feature leading academics, former summit sherpas and public policy experts from around the world who will discuss and dissect the G8 Summit’s agenda and prospects.
WHAT:
Prospects and Possibilities for the G8 Lough Erne Summit: Trade, Transparency, Tax and Terrorism
A Pre-G8 Summit Conference organised by the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy at Queen’s and the G8 Research Group at the University of Toronto. The conference is supported by the Department for Employment and Learning, Northern Ireland.

Queen’s University Belfast, Whitla Hall, Friday 14 June 2013
1. Media opportunities and interviews with conference speakers will be available throughout the day at the event on Friday 14 June.
2. Media are invited to attend but accreditation is essential. Media who wish to attend must register with the Communications Office at Queen’s University by 12noon on Wednesday 12 June in order to receive accreditation.
3. All members of the media must produce identification at conference registration, which will take place at the Media Room (Whitla Hall) from 8.30am on Friday 14 June.
4. A news release will be sent to media on Wednesday 12 June 2013, embargoed until 0001 Friday 14 June 2013.
