Military School USA Launches New Infographic Ranking US Military Service Academies

These federal institutions provide undergraduate education/training to commissioned officers of the United States Armed Forces. According to the infographic, the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, is considered one of the top military academies in the nation. Established in 1802, West Point has produced a number of notable military figures and historians. This includes both Generals Lee and Grant. With their motto as “Duty, Honor, Country”, the current military enrollment at the institution is 73%. They also have an acceptance rate of 10.6%, along with 4,524 students enrolled. Out of this number, 84% of students are men and 16% are women.



West Point requires 5 years active duty and 3 years inactive duty after graduation. Their 4-year graduation rate is 80%, and the institution offers 45 academic majors. Out of these majors, the top 5 are engineering, social sciences, foreign languages, business administration, and engineering technologies. The United States Naval Academy is also considered a top military institution. Established in 1845, USNA is based in Annapolis, Maryland. Their motto is “From Knowledge, Sea Power.”



The Naval Academy has military enrollment of 98%. Their acceptance rate is at 7.5%, and requires 5 years active duty after graduation. They also require 3 years inactive duty as well. USNA currently has 4,576 students enrolled. Out of this number, 80% are men and 20% are women. The student satisfaction rate is 96.8%, while the 4-year graduation rate is at 89%. The Naval Academy offers 22 majors in 3 divisions. Out of these majors, the top 5 are political science, economics, aerospace engineering, history, and oceanography. The Naval Academy was ranked as the best public liberal arts college in America by U.S. News and World Report.



According to the infographic, the United States Coast Guard Academy also made the top 5 list. This was followed by the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Both academies have received stellar reviews from students and industry critics alike. They have both received a range of awards and recognition as well. For those interested in pursuing pilot careers, the United States Air Force Academy is the place to be. Established in 1954, the Colorado Springs based USAFA has a military enrollment of 100%.



The Air Force Academy’s motto is “Integrity First, Service before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.” The Academy also has an acceptance rate of 10.8%. They currently have 4,413 students enrolled. Out of this number, 78% are male students and 22% are females. Like other high profile military academies, USAFA requires 5 years active duty and 3 years inactive duty after graduation. Their student satisfaction rate is 88.8%, while their 4-year graduation rate is at 76. The Air Force Academy offers 6 core academic majors. The top 5, however, are engineering, social sciences, business management/marketing, biomedical studies, and interdisciplinary studies.
