(USGovernment-News.Com, April 20, 2013 ) Tempe, AZ – Thousands of runners will take to the streets on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 for Pat’s Run in Tempe, Arizona. In its 9th year, Pat’s Run is a signature fundraising event for the Pat Tillman foundation that attracts approximately 38,000 participants, volunteers, and sponsors.
Beginning and ending at Packard Drive next to Sun Devil Stadium, motorists will find the following roads closed for the event:
• Rio Salado Parkway
• Mill Avenue
• Curry Road
• Scottsdale Road
• Rural Road
• 6th Street
• College Ave./Mesquite Cir./E.Gilbert Drive
Road closures will begin at 6:45 a.m. and will continue through 9:45 a.m. although some roads may reopen as early as 8:45 a.m.
Several runners have proclaimed that they will be running for Boston on Saturday and the Pat Tillman Foundation is taking several precautionary measures to ensure all participants, volunteers, spectators, and sponsors will be safe during the event.
