(USGovernment-News.Com, March 21, 2013 ) WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Two well-known athletes were struck by a pickup truck while traveling to Eckerd College on Thursday at 8 p.m. The two teens involved in the fatal motor vehicle crash were Rachel Price, 18, and Jamaree Cook, 19. After receiving an invitation from the World Cup to play, Rachel was excited to share the news with her mother.
The two teens were traveling in a 2003 Hyundai heading west on U.S. 192 just east of St. Cloud. Then, a 2002 Ford pickup truck cut in front of the Hyundai as they attempted to travel north on Old Melbourne Highway. Once the Hyundai was struck, it then hit a 2007 Ford SUV that was at a stop at the intersection.
The driver of the pickup truck was arrested at the scene of the accident and police authorities stated that alcohol was smelled on the driver. Price and Cook were both killed as the Hyundai caught on fire. Most auto accidents are caused by careless or negligent driving.
