Daylight Saving Driving Dangers Warns Greg Coleman Law

(USGovernment-News.Com, March 09, 2013 ) KNOXVILLE, TN – Daylight Saving Time is starting this Sunday at 2 a.m. Many Tennessee residents will set their clocks ahead one hour before they go to sleep on Sunday night. While the change in time will make for longer, lighter days, it also makes way for darker mornings. Unfortunately, historical evidence points to a rise in the number of morning motor vehicle collisions immediately following Daylight Saving Time.

With sunrise expected to be 7:16 a.m., many morning commuters will find that the majority of their travels are in the dark. Without an early morning sunrise, driver visibility is limited and may lead to a traffic crash. In addition, fatigued driving is a common issue associated with Daylight Saving Time. The darker mornings tend to make drivers feel sleepy, thus reducing their ability to react quickly and increasing the likelihood of a morning accident.

At Greg Coleman Law, our auto accident lawyers are dedicated to fighting for the rights of those injured due to the actions or negligence of another person or entity and can provide the guidance and experience that injury victims often need during the course personal injury litigation. If you or a loved one has suffered in an auto collision, a Tennessee auto accident attorney is here to help.
