(USGovernment-News.Com, March 08, 2013 ) MEQUON, Wis. – Beyond Conflict 2013, a three-and-half day conference that will teach individuals how to deal effectively with conflict in a post-Sandy Hook world, is being held in Brookfield, WI from November 7-10.
This will be the first year event organizer and professional training organization, Vistelar, will open the conference for general admission. The agenda is designed to benefit anyone who faces conflict in the workplace or their personal lives, including teachers, youth leaders, healthcare workers, law enforcement, employee supervisors and sports officials. Until 2012, these professional-level conferences were restricted to internal trainers and instructors.
Beyond Conflict 2013 will not focus on theory, but the “hows” of dealing with conflict:
• HOW TO communicate effectively in the midst of stress
• HOW TO develop your personal power and become bully-proof
• HOW TO intervene as a bystander in a safe, but effective, manner
• HOW TO prevent retaliation by treating others with dignity
• HOW TO keep safe physically and defend yourself, if attacked.
The event will begin with a full day of learning and interaction for three separate groups -- individuals who work with youth; people who must deal with conflict in their workplace or personal lives; and advanced training for Verbal Defense & Influence-certified instructors.
Over the next two days, participants can select eight breakout sessions tailored to their specific interests and needs, with sessions tailored to women, sales professionals, youth leaders and personal defense, just to name a few.
