18-Year-Old Dies in Dallas Single Vehicle Crash reports The Barber Law Firm

(USGovernment-News.Com, December 17, 2012 ) Plano, TX -- A one-vehicle crash took the life of a Dallas teenager on Saturday morning.

Jason A. Schilling died from the injuries he sustained in an accident off Carpenter Road, as reported by Hugh P Boyle & Son Funeral Home of Kingston in his notice.

A Dallas office stated that Schilling had been heading from the direction of Harvey's Lake, and coming toward the Lake Street when he approached a curvey hill just beyond the reaches of the township. According to Officer John Mendrygal, “it looks like he was going a little too fast.”

Mendrygal stated that Schilling had failed to negotiate the curve and ran head-on into a tree. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Mendrygal also noted that a passerby saw the car at 6:30 a.m. The car was located on the side of the road, and the passerby called 911. It is not yet known when the crash occurred.

Schilling was a recent graduate of Dallas High School. The young man was a baseball player for three of his years at the school, and started two years, according to his coach, Ken Kashatus.

“He was a gamer, he loved to compete. He was a well-liked kid in school in general. All the kids really liked him,” Kashatus recalled.

Schilling is only the latest to have been lost to the Dallas school. Corey A. Ehret of Harvey's Lake passed away after a three year. Thomas E. Lynch of Harvey's Lake also passed after injuries sustained in a crash on Kunkle-Alderson Road earlier in the year.

“I feel bad, of course, for his family and friends, and for his classmates because they have had to deal with a lot of loss,” Kashatus said.

Kashatus stated he had learned of the death through a text from another teacher, who remembered the boy and “were showing genuine concern. Teachers are remembering him from four years back. He certainly left his mark.”
