International leaders have joined together to host this exclusive black-tie affair. The ball will be held at the Mead Center for American Theater, from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am. The ball will commemorate the re-election of President of the United States Barack Obama.
According to H.E. Mr. Robert Shumake, nearly 200 nations will converge on Washington, D.C. for the event to commemorate ObamaÂ’s re-election and to reaffirm their diplomatic ties to the United States at this historic event.
Besides the President and The First Lady, Michelle Obama, other special invited guests include other Heads-of-State, Ambassadors, Consul Generals, as well as, other key Embassy officials and dignitaries from around the globe. The AmbassadorsÂ’ Ball will also attract members of the United States Congress, State Department officials, Presidential Cabinet members and appointees, along with, other luminaries of politics, business and entertainment.
H.E. Dr. Tebelelo Seretse, Ambassador of the Republic Botswana to the U.S. & Canada and H.E. Dr. Neil Parsan, Ambassador to the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago to the U.S. & Mexico will serve as Co-Chairs of the Host Committee, where they will be joined by H.E. Mr. Robert Shumake, Honorary Consul General of Botswana to the U.S. as well as other ambassadors and dignitaries.
The Ambassadors Ball will be the first Inaugural Ball hosted exclusively by the international community.
