(USGovernment-News.Com, September 16, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA - Illegal car racing has become a growing issue in. The dangerous nature of the races creates problems for other drivers and often proves fatal. A recent illegal race in Dallas Texas ended in two deaths after a severe collision.
According to the sources, seven vehicles smashed into one another, which created for a horrible scene near 35 East in Oak Cliff. According to eyewitnesses, illegal street racing was the cause of the fatal accident.
Jay Bivens, an eyewitness, told the media about the accident and said he saw two cars racing and suddenly the driver of a Chevrolet Chevelle lost control of his vehicle.
An investigation team initially reported that a red Cadillac that was not part of the race ran into the Chevelle. The adverse situation created a chain reaction and a mess was created on the road in no time. Both people in the Cadillac died on the spot and three others rushed a nearby hospital to treat severe injuries.
Bivens told the media that it was a horrible scene for him. “I have seen stuff before but it’s the first time I’ve seen someone—-what’s it look like when a crash dummy hits a car?” he added. “That’s exactly what happened. They (car victims) didn’t know what happened. It all happened at once. They didn’t know, the 18-wheeler didn’t even know. The car had hit him in the back.”
The investigation team has arrested a person involved in the incident and said they were further looking into the matter. The spokesperson of the Sheriff’s Department said that, “We’ve made an arrest for criminally negligent homicide; we still need to confirm the identity of that individual.”
