Steven Showers uses neon sign board to protest against Mitt Romney reports NeonSigns4You.com

(USGovernment-News.Com, September 08, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA - Steven Showers, who resides at Newbury Park, showed his hatred for Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, by displaying his opinion on a huge neon sign board and installing it outside of his own house.

The 59-year-old wants the GOP not to nominate Romney as the standard-bearer by calling him a racist. He holds the opinion that Romney will destroy the party and he, Showers, does not want that as he himself is a Republican.

GOP is set to announce the Republican standard-bearer in the party’s convention in the upcoming week.

However, this unusual and somewhat odd manner of getting the attention of people towards the sign board has also brought some problems for Showers as he made his neighbours uncomfortable.

The zoning officials also showed their disapproval for the neon sign board that displays Romney as a racist.

The sign board displays,

“Save the GOP. Romneys Racist Heart Dotcom.”

Neighbours of Showers have been showing their discomfort with this sign board carrying a political message.

The Ventura County code inspector also dropped a notice to Showers’ home, pointing out that it is an open violation of zoning laws.

On the other hand, Showers holds the thought that he is not doing a wrong thing as he always voted for the Republicans but he is not in the favour of Romney who, according to Showers, is a racist.

He is determined to keep the neon sign board at its place until the next week when the convention meeting of the party takes place.

Showers spent almost $3,000 in this protest as the size of neon sign board indicates that its cost is approximately $800 and the installation cost is round about $2,000.

While talking about the complaints or the violation of zoning regulations, Showers said that he is in trouble with the county officials and intends to dig out a way to find a compromise with them.
