Kimbrough, Jr. served on the Faculty & Steering Committee for the five-day Advanced Trial Advocacy Seminar held at the University of Florida’s Fredric G. Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida, from May 8 through May 12, 2012. Kimbrough was one of 46 board certified lawyers or trial court judges selected to serve on the faculty for the annual interactive program presented by the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar.
The Advanced Trial Advocacy Seminar provides trial skills training through an interactive format with judges and lawyers from around the state of Florida. The program provides the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Ethics credits required for the three year cycle.
“It is a privilege to be able to take part in an event that provides genuine hands-on learning experiences for fellow lawyers in Florida,” Kimbrough said. “I feel fortunate to not only have the opportunity to be a member of the distinguished faculty, but also assist in promoting trial advocacy before the courts.”
The Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar was established in 1967 and has more than 7,000 members. Its goals are to assist the courts in improving the administration of justice, promote the art of advocacy and preserve and protect the jury system.
Kimbrough has been with the Orlando law firm of Wooten, Kimbrough & Normand. P.A. since 1978.
