She explains that just like her previous album “Revolution,” no particular song represents “Four The Record” album. “Revolution” produced two hit singles and made Lambert recognized as one of the First Ladies of Country Music. Now, Four The Record will solidify Lambert’s reputation even further. Lambert believes that reinventing her image is the key to having a long career in the entertainment industry.
Some of the material in this new record are written by the country music star herself. There are also songs on the album written by other writers who inspired Lambert. Four The Record consists of 14 country songs, including “Baggage Claim,” the first single from the album which is currently no.13 on the Billboard country music chart. Billboard.com declares the groovy song as the youngest title in the top 20 survey.
The official Four The Record release date will be on November 1, 2011. In this new effort, the singer has a duet with country star husband, Blake Shelton, in the new track “Better in the Long Run.” The song is actually written by Ashley Monroe, Lambert’s bandmate in Pistol Annies.
