A Wendy's restaurant customer was allegedly poisoned in Batavia, Illinois according to a Kane County Health Department Report prepared May 26, 2011 and recently released. It appears the tainted buns were sold to customers even after it was known the buns were subjected to a chemical exposure from a fire. According to a law suit prepared by Illinois food poisoning attorney Gary A. Newland of Newland, Newland & Newland, Kevin Lasswell as Plaintiff seeks damages against Perfection Bakeries, Inc. more commonly referred to as an Aunt Millie's and QSC Management that was allegedly in control of the WendyÂ’s located at 1905 West Wilson in Batavia.
The Health Department of Kane County investigated and completed a report about the hamburger buns served at the Wendy's. According to the report, the buns were to be destroyed before being served to Mr. Lasswell. The report further indicated the buns were likely contaminated in a fire. There is confusion as to if Aunt Millie's is accountable or Wendy's or both parties.
Mr. Laswell suffered greatly in that he vomited, had respiratory issues, dry mouth, cramps and other health consequences associated with the consumption of the contaminated food and was in the hospital.
Others had also complained about the buns but it is unclear if others suffered health consequences.
