Nigeria's total defense expenditure stood at US$1.8 billion in 2016 and will post a forecast-period CAGR of CAGR of 3.7% to reach US$2.1 billion in 2021. The country's efforts to counter insurgency and terrorism, coupled with its involvement in peacekeeping operations, will increase the country's expenditure.
