Degree.com reveals free book of Financial aid for Masters Degree candidates.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 09, 2010 ) Miami, FL - As the world turns, it becomes a more complex and confusing place for anyone coming out of any degree program to navigate through. WhatÂ’s more confounding is how exactly someone seeking to further his education can do so if thereÂ’s no financial assistance at his disposal. ItÂ’s become more of a necessity for students to become more creative in terms of how they find the financial aid they need to make themselves a viable part of the world market.

What kind of aid is out there exactly? There isnÂ’t much in the way of government backing. Many government agencies have made it clear that education is less of a concern than, say, purchasing a home or clearing debt. However, though a shame to consider education an archaic form of socio-economic status, the truth is that somewhere along the line weÂ’ve forgotten for the better half of a century or so people have been singing the praises and blessings of higher education. Those without a leg to stand on financially, however, can count themselves among the many without any hope of attaining any sort of relevance in todayÂ’s market.

MasterÂ’s candidates, unfortunately, have been placed in that same unsettling position of uncertainty. Fewer and fewer MasterÂ’s degree programs are getting funded, and as a result more graduate students find themselves in a similar position as their undergraduate counterparts: in school with a damnable amount of debt sure to make getting employment, housing, and any other necessity in this day and age impossible. Ph.D. candidates have always had an easy ride as regards funding. As BachelorÂ’s degrees become the new high school certificate, MasterÂ’s degrees the new BachelorÂ’s, itÂ’s increasingly apparent that any graduate student who even wants to consider funding must consider throwing themselves headlong into a Ph.D. program that they may not have had any intention of doing in the first place.

Though the potential for government backing begins to wane for MasterÂ’s candidates, thereÂ’s still a real hope for these students to ensure that they get the funding they need to ensure academic success. For starters, many universities offer assistantships for those students with any sort of teaching experience or interest, ensuring that they not only receive full funding, but a living stipend. For those students who attempt to go above and beyond their required level of commitment, fellowships are also available --again, boasting full rides and possible living stipends.

As the Director of Degree.com (http://www.degree.com/ the Premier Internet Portal for Online), Professor Sheila Danzig has helped make it a possibility for many students to find the funding in their areas necessary to make moves in the professional academic world. Her newest offering, The Big Book of Scholarships and Financial Aid, Professor Danzig outlines a few of the most relevant scholarships for a variety of concentrations and student types. Ranging from college sophomores to MasterÂ’s candidates, this book serves as a guideline to get students pushed in the right direction. The book, which sells for $19.95 on Amazon is available FREE at http://www.degree.com/free-downloads.htm
