ClassAction.org Alerts Consumers of Toyota Vehicle Recalls

(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 01, 2010 ) New York, NY - ClassAction.org is alerting consumers of two recent Toyota recalls affecting several different Toyota models. On January 21, 2010, Toyota issued a recall affecting 2.3 million vehicles due to a problem with the gas pedal mechanism sticking. A few days later, a separate recall was issued, adding 1.1 million vehicles to a recall originally issued in November 2009. This recall was announced after problems with the vehiclesÂ’ floor mats interfering with the gas pedal were linked to several serious accidents.

Both the problem with the gas pedal sticking and the issue with the gas pedal getting caught on the vehicle floor mat can result in unintentional and uncontrollable acceleration. This can be extremely dangerous for drivers who are unable to control the speed of their vehicle, as well as for pedestrians, drivers, and passengers of other vehicles in the area. A number of Toyota models were involved in the recalls, with millions of vehicles ultimately affected. Certain Lexus models and the 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe were also included in the Toyota floor mat recall.

Visit http://www.classaction.org/toyota-recall.html for more information about the alleged problems with the gas pedals and floor mats in certain Toyota models. A complete list of the vehicles involved in the Toyota recall is available on this page as well.

If you have been involved in an accident that you believe may have been caused by a problem with your ToyotaÂ’s gas pedal or floor mats, you may be entitled to compensation. To find out if you are eligible to participate in a Toyota recall lawsuit, complete the No Cost, No Obligation Case Evaluation form now.
