The confirmation hearing in the Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo case will not commence on 4 November 2008

Case: The Prosecutor v. Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo

On 17 October 2008, Pre-Trial Chamber III decided that the confirmation hearing in the case of The Prosecutor v. Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo will not commence on 4 November 2008 as initially planned "in order to enable the Defence to properly exercise its rights, in particular with regard to adequately preparing for the hearing."

The date of the confirmation hearing will now be set following the status conference of 22 October 2008.
